You will need some things to settle before flying for your #StudyinMalaysia journey. 

For a study programme with a duration of more than 3 months, you will need a STUDENT VISA or also known as a Student Pass.

This guide will take you through each stage of the process how to apply for a STUDENT VISA. 

STUDY IN MALAYSIA STUDENT PASS APPLICATION PROCESS FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS 

STEP 1 – Create and account and apply for a Student Pass at https://visa.educationmalaysia.gov.my 

STEP 2 - Upload all the required documents. Refer to the guidelines here: https://visa.educationmalaysia.gov.my/guidelines 

STEP 3 - Issuance of Visa Approval Letter (e-VAL) 

STEP 4 – Apply for Single Entry Visa (SEV) 

• Individuals from qualifying countries can get visa-on-arrival (VOA) upon arrival at the Malaysian border.
• Individuals from countries that require a pre-arrival visa must apply for a single entry visa (SEV) from their home country’s Malaysian embassy or consular office, or if a Malaysian mission is not present there, at the nearest neighbouring country.
• *Individuals from visa-required countries on the following list can apply for an e-Visa which takes 48 hours to process.

STEP 5– Apply for Malaysia Digital Arrival Card (MDAC) within 3 days prior to your arrival in Malaysia -https://imigresen-online.imi.gov.my/mdac/main 

STEP 6– Student travel to Malaysia 🇲🇾

STEP 7– Undergo a post-arrival medical screening at the EMGS or University registered clinics.

STEP 8– Endorsement of Student Pass  by the Malaysian Immigration (Your Institutions will assist you on this).
